Mistletoe Velvet Crown

Mistletoe is the pale, frosted green of the sprig hung over the doorway in December, the one everybody pretends not to be standing under. It is a crown for birthdays and dressing up, for snow queens and woodland kings, and for all the ordinary days that would like a little more magic in them.

Choose it with a name, and we will write it across the front in gold, in a looping old hand, as though somebody had sat up late with a dip pen to get it exactly right; beside it there is a tiny crescent moon and a star or two, the very ones that keep watch over the bedroom window once the house has gone quiet.
