Midnight Velvet Crown

Midnight is the deep blue of the sky just after the last light has gone, when the first stars come out over the rooftops and somebody is meant to be asleep. It is a crown for birthdays and dressing up, for kings of the garden and knights of the stairs, and for all the ordinary days that would like a little more magic in them.
